Cedar's Christmas Show 2025... The Grinch

A Festive Tradition Continues

On the 2nd December 2025, we proudly hosted our second Christmas show, where a number of our supported individuals took to the stage to perform their own fantastic version of ‘The Grinch. What started last year as an exciting new idea, has now grown into a much-loved annual tradition - one that brings together families, staff, professionals and members of our wider community in celebration of creativity and achievement. With over 100 people in the audience this year, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, festive cheer and a real sense of pride as everyone gathered to support and celebrate the performers. It was a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season.

Rehearsals, Teamwork, and Endless Preparation

The journey to the stage began many weeks earlier, with multiple rehearsals held both at our head office and at the venue as the performance date drew closer. Our Events Committee worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise every detail - from writing and adapting the script to coordinating rehearsals, planning costumes, making props and arranging food. The performers themselves showed remarkable commitment; they went away and learned their lines and songs independently, showing dedication and enthusiasm that only grew stronger as the big day approached. Their preparation played a huge part in the success of the show and made every moment on stage even more special.

A Performance to Remember

When the day finally arrived, the performers took to the stage in fantastic outfits, fully embracing their characters and the story of ‘The Grinch. Their confidence and personality shone through with every song, every spoken line and every expressive moment. The audience played a big part in the atmosphere - clapping, singing along and cheering loudly after each scene giving each performer a sense of pride and achievement. The final cheer was not just for a show well delivered; it was a celebration of personal achievement, teamwork and the joy of seeing individuals express themselves freely and proudly in front of a packed audience. It was a moment that spoke louder than words and left everyone smiling.

Recognition, Celebration and What Comes Next

After the performance, each of the individuals received a certificate and a gift bag as a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and success. It was a touching way to round off the event, allowing families, friends and colleagues to share in the pride and applaud what had been achieved both on and off the stage. We are extremely proud of every performer who took part - they worked so hard to learn their roles and delivered an outstanding performance on the day. With two successful Christmas shows now behind us, we are delighted to say this will continue as a yearly tradition. We are already excited to see what next year’s performance will bring, and we look forward to another opportunity to showcase talent, build confidence, and bring our community together to celebrate the magic of the festive season.
